“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” Ephesians 2:10

There is a saying that goes, “don't worry if other people don't understand your calling from God, it was not a conference call”. In other words don't wait for people to give you permission to be who you were called to be. Having confidence is not about being good in everything or comfortable doing everything, but knowing that you are indeed worth it, worth the space, worth the time, just plain worth it because of who God is.

Finding confidence is being able to get to the place you are supposed to be, as your true self. Not acting like someone else that may belong, but as yourself who does belong. You are a masterpiece because of what God did, because of who he is. He has deemed you worth, not because of what you did or did not do, but because he is God, the creator, who created you.

"The model Christian is not another Christian, but Christ himself" (Unknown). It is important to learn to be our true selves as God designed us to be in Him. God will take us through a pruning process (John 15:2), not to make us more like someone else in church/society, but to change us to be more like him and be who he really created us to be.
